SITEMAP THEMES I: BREATHING

BREATHING

There is no living without breathing! Breathing is one of the most important of our vital functions. It is through breathing that the blood and the brain are oxygenated. We can consciously control our breathing. A full, relaxed breathing is very beneficial for the body and the mind. Breathing can slow the rhythm of the heart, improve the oxygen levels in the blood, increase exchanges between cells. On a mental level, it calms the mind, helps controling emotions, increases concentration.

Breathing techniques go back thousands of years ago. One of the eight principles of Patanjali’s yoga is pranayama, from the sankrit prâna ‟breath” and yama ‟mastery”. The exercises of pranayama send extra energy into the brain bringing an ever increasing mental self-control.

We would like to analyse the effects rhythmic breathing in the light of the discoveries in cerebral physiology of Doctor Francis Lefebure, a French physician and researcher. Thanks to the systematic use of the phosphenes, Dr Lefebure designed a protocol of exploration of the brain: cerebroscopy, which allowed him to measure precisely the action of breathing exercises on the brain, and to create a scientifically improved yoga: Phosphenism.

The phosphenes are all the sensations of light which are not directly produced by light stimulating the retina. They can be produced by focusing shortly on sources of light.
Dr Lefebure has demonstrated that the phosphene is a reversal of the sense of sight towards the inner part of the individual. Similarly, the acouphene is a reversal of the sense of audition. Actually, there is an inner equivalent of every physical sense, forming together a second sensory system: the phenic system. Mixing thoughts with a phene is the basic exercise of Phosphenism and probably constitutes the true meaning of Prayahara or reversal of sensory activity towards the inside. There is also a phene related to breathing, it is called ‟pneumophene”, and it can be stimulated by maintaining a slight ‟thirst for air” or lack of air in the lungs.

In his 1966 book, Rhythmic Breathing and Mental Concentration, Dr Lefebure shows how breathing is related to our environement. The rhythm of our breathing is always changing, according to our environement: slow and regular when we sleep, it accelerates under the influence of emotions and, in some cases, it can even stop completely under the stressful influence of bad news. Dr Lefebure the notices that ‟of all our vegetative vital functions, breathing is the only one that we can consciously control”. Consequently, breathing establishes a connection between our psyche and the outside environement.
Insisting on the importance of rhythm, he demonstrates that rhythms amplify thoughts: ‟rhythmic breathing is the physiological state that is most favorable to certain mental activities”. By synchronizing the rhythm of thinking and the rhythm of breathing, we can transform physical energy into psychic energy.

As a physician, Dr Lefebure’s first interest was the effects of this psychic energy on illnesses. He describes a case of recovery from multiple sclerosis thanks to this method. But quickly, he started to show interest in the initiatory effects of rhythmic breathing. When it is associated to a thought, the phosphene powers it with a remarkable intensity, so does rhythmic breathing which fills thoughts with prâna, giving them an amazing density. Thanks to cerebroscopy and synchrophony, Dr Lefebure discovered the importance of the rhythm of two seconds and the role it plays in the awakening of higher abilities: intellectual, moral, psychic and spiritual.

An exercise of rhythmic breathing: square breathing

Set your metronome on 60 BPM, i.e. one beat per second.
Do a phosphene.
Breathe in for 6 seconds.
Maintain the air in your lungs for 6 seconds (Retention with lungs full).
Breathe out for 6 seconds.
Maintain your lungs empty for 6 seconds (Retention with lungs empty) .
Continue this cycle until the phosphene disappears (roughly three minutes) .
Do another phosphene and start the cycle again.
Visualize a dot of light rotating in your lungs during the phases of retention.
This value of 6 seconds is only a guideline, other values can be used, depending on the capacity of one’s lungs. It is the precise regularity of the phases that is important.

Circular breathing

Similar to square breathing, circular breathing does not, however, contain phases of retention. It is a kind of square breathing which angles would have been rounded off.
Set your metronome on 60 BPM, i.e. one beat per second.
Do a phosphene.
Breathe in for 4 seconds, starting by breathing very little and progressively increasing the flow of air.
Keep breathing in for 4 more seconds but, this time, progressively reduce the flow of air until you barely breathe in.
Breathe out for 4 seconds, starting by breathing very little and progressively incresing the flow of air that comes out of your lungs.
Keep breathing out for 4 more seconds but, this time, progressively reduce the flow of air until you barely breathe out.
During circular breathing, visualize a dot of light rotating inside your lungs or around your head, or around your body. The dot of light can follow the rhythm of breathing (one full circle in 16 seconds).
Maintain this breathing cycle until the phosphene has disappeared (approximately three minutes).
Do another phosphene and start the cycle again.
The value of 4 seconds is only a guideline, other values can be used, depending on the capacity of your lungs.
Nevertheless, we advise you to start practicing with these values as increasing the length of the phases is not the purpose of this exercise. The purpose of this exercise is to breathe with a slight lack of air.

SITEMAP THEMES I: BLACKSMITH

BLACKSMITH

BLACKSMITHS, ALCHEMISTS… AND THE PHOSPHENES.

A few years ago, an anthropological essay was written by Mircea Eliade, under the title of Blacksmiths and Alchemists.

A blacksmith is a person who transforms iron or steel, or any other metals into tools and weapons, using fire and metalwork.

So, the smith is an alchemist, a transformer, that uses primary materials provided by the earth, works on them, manipulates them, imprints them with his energy. With help of the fire, of the anvil and the hammer, blacksmiths materialize their ideas in the shape of tools, weapons or any other type of objects.
This capacity to transform the materials that the earth provides into tools for humanity is an alchemy. That is one of the causes why blacksmiths have always been considered as alchemists and mystics, according to Eliade’s book.

When I was 18 years old and I just finished my studies in college, my father, who was dedicated to breeding horses, proposed me an idea: now that I had finished my studies and that I had to work, I should prepare myself to be a horseshoer, because it seem to have good prospects.

And so I did. I studied in several schools and as the apprentice of several Blacksmiths until I got a good formation.

But to be good in that line of work, I needed the knowledge the knowledge of forge. So I studied the forge to complete my education.

I had several forge teachers and I learned not only to make horseshoes of many types, but tools, ornaments and artwork, and I was lucky to have a forge teacher that was an alchemist.

His name was Turley, he lived in the desert in New Mexico, USA, in a trailer next to his workshop. He was an American Indian and he practiced Tai Chi. Besides teaching me to forge, he used to tell me stories of the early blacksmiths of many cultures. And always compared the act to forge iron with the act to forge one’s own soul.

Although I was too young to understand many things, the experience impressed me deeply and I will never forget my days at Frank Turley‘s workshop, who began his morning routine of forge with American Indian‘s singings and who practiced breathing exercises of Tai Chi while hitting the hot iron on the anvil, with a brutal energy.

Back at my house, I had my own workshop during many years, my forge and my anvil, to practice the profession of blacksmith and horseshoer which I quit years after for back problems. Although I still have my workshop.

More than 15 years after that I discovered Phosphenism, and its entire paradigm, concepts, ideas and results.

This is when I understood Mircea Eliade’s book about the mystic abilities of the blacksmiths.

So, let’s enter a forge workshop. They are always dark, without much light, because is very important to be able to see the color of the iron when it is heated. It goes from an almost white, pale red to a dark cherry. The different tints are very important for the blacksmith.

And in a corner, protected from the light, there is the forge. Its center, used for heating the charcoal forms a kind of volcano, a crater that directs all the heat produced by the fire… an intense white light indicates that the forge is really hot.

Normally the anvil is situated in front of the forge, in such a way that when the smith extracts the hot iron of the forge, turns his back to the fire and checks the color of the hot iron. Thanks to the color, he knows the temperature.

And so, we are beginning to see certain common factors between Phosphenism and the forge: after watching an intense and almost white light, the fire of the forge, the smith collects the iron and turns around towards the dark area where the anvil is, to hammer it. Thus producing a phosphene.

Forging, hitting the metal on the anvil, can be done by up to three persons. But it always has to be done in a very specific way: with rhythm. When there is a single person working, the rhythm is more or less one beat per second (a physiological rhythm). But one other thing is important: when hitting the iron, the smith observes the piece to give it the appropriate form. This process is similar to Phosphenism: mixing rhythmic thinking and focusing on a source of light.
After a while, the metal cools down and it is necessary to heat it again. This produces an alternation, another of the basic elements of Phosphenism.

The sways are produced in an instinctive way. If hitting is always done with arm only, it is very tiring. So in an instinctive way, little by little, one learns to hit using one’s center of gravity, the Hara. So anterioposterior sways occur in a spontaneous way when hitting with the hammer. You can easily observe this if you have the chance to see a master forging.

What about the mantras? Obviously, they can be found in the sound of the hits. In the end, the sounds of hitting with the hammer repeat themselves in a rhythmic and constant way. Nevertheless, it is also very probable that most smiths recite or chant songs or prayers while they work, as my master used to do.

In Japan, the sword smiths are extremely spiritual, because they engrave their own character into their work. The majority of them wish that their swords would be used not to give death but to protect life. They used to dress in white, as a symbol of purity, and they carry out rituals of purification before and during the forge. So, without knowing it, they practice Phosphenism while working.

There is a legend that relates the story of two Japanese sword smiths who used to make the best swords in Japan. One with the intention of defending the life and one with the intention to kill.

One day, to distinguish their swords, a samurai placed them in a river with the blade in the water. The floating leaves would be cut in two by the blade. The best steel. The best blade.

He did the same thing with the second sword but when the leaves were about to touch the blade, they were slightly deviated. The leaves did not avoid the sword, it is the sword that avoided the leaves the sword, because it was created for protecting life. The best intention.

Is it be possible to imprint one’s spirit into the matter, not only by forging and wishing that the sword protects life, but by amplify and purify one’s thoughts with a conscious or unconscious practice of Phosphenism?

It is interesting to observe that blacksmiths can perfectly be mystic, initiates, or alchemists. Not simply because of their capacity to transform nature, the minerals, into tools for human use, but also because of their constant and unconscious practice of Phosphenism, the basis of all religions.
Today, we have lost much of this traditional work.

The industrial revolution, that mechanized many of these activities, has been an evolution and a social and economic revolution, but it has also has been an involution and a delay for the spiritual development of humanity.

SITEMAP THEMES I: BEWITCHMENT

BEWITCHMENT

BEWITCHMENT

Folk stories mention many cases of bewitchment or curses. In the light of Doctor Francis Lefebure’s discoveries in cerebral physiology, it is possible to understand the mechanisms that govern the exchanges of energy between human beings and to distinguish reality from fiction. Dr Lefebure, a French physician and scientist, based his research on the systematic use of the phosphenes. The phosphenes are all the subjective sensations of light, i.e. those which are not directly provoked by light hitting the retina. They can be produced by focusing shortly on sources of light. Dr Lefebure and his collaborators practiced many experiments of phosphenic telepathy and discovered unknown laws of cerebral physiology.

Contrary to preconceived ideas, it is not possible to invest another person’s brain at a distance and impose our thoughts to them. Rhythmic thinking, on the contrary, is easy to transmit by telepathy. Rhythm structures thoughts and gives them extra power. To understand this concept better, let us quote this example by Dr Lefebure: the analogy between wind and thoughts.

‟Thoughts are like the anarchic masses of air: they have a lot of energy, but its effect is weak. The wind does not go through walls, for example. But, when a rhythm is induced in the air, for example by producing a sound, it can easily go through walls, though its energy is billion of times weaker than the energy of the wind. The difference is due to the rhythm of the energy. Similarly, when the air is carried in a rhythmic spiral movement, it acquires a fantastic power that can destroy entire cities and regions, in the form of tornadoes and typhoons.”

Rhythmic thinking, projected on a person, amplifies their cerebral rhythms and consequently their thoughts. The content of the thoughts of the receiver is thus essential and it is this factor that defines the results of the operation. Cerebral rhythms are neutral. Even if the emitter desperately tries to transmit negative thoughts, they will not influence the quality of the energy that is transmitted. This quality is determined by the level of practice of the emitter.

Vital energy and cerebral rhythms are not intrinsically good or bad. It is the quality of the thoughts activated by this energy that matters. As a simple comparison, gasoline can be used as fuel for a vehicle, but also can be used to start a blaze. The same way, energy amplifies the thoughts of the receiver in a neutral fashion, the good ones as well as the bad ones. Thus, it is the state of mind of the receiver that determines the effects of the transmission of energy. The environment and the atmosphere in which the receiver lives have a major influence on his or her thoughts, social and cultural factors also modify the view of the world of the individual.

Dr Lefebure wrote the following analogy: cerebral rhythms are like a suction pump and the thoughts of the individual are like the tank to which this pump is connected. Cerebral rhythms amplify thoughts. They energize them and intensify them. Consequently, one must be careful and use cerebral rhythms wisely.

Cerebral rhythms, increasing thoughts tenfold, amplify the beliefs and the biases of the receiver. This operation can be very negative if the person is too impregnated with certain popular beliefs. A general feeling of persecution hangs over the cultures where the folklore includes witchcraft, bewitchment and sorcery. Amplified by the rhythms, this feeling can become genuine paranoïa. The wrong kind of litterature also has a similar effect of suggestion. The persons who are conditioned by these factors often believe they are under a malevolent influence and wish to be exorcised, when the evil simply lays within their own psyche. The process is purely psychological: a suggestion is countered by another suggestion.

Nature and the cosmos are not human inventions, and thus do no carry any biases. They are pure and do not convey any negative concepts. Is a flower hostile? Does a star want to hurt you? No, unless you are utterly paranoïd… Rather than letting yourself be inspired by litterature of poor quality or by primitive superstitions, why not let yourself be carried by the energies of nature and of the cosmos?

Also check: Influence at a distance

Exercise of Phosphenic Mixing:

– Choose an image related to nature or the cosmos (a tree, a flower, the sea, a mountain, a star, a galaxy, etc.)
– Do a phosphene.
– Contemplate the image you have chosen for 15 to 45 minutes, using a photograph or, even better, contemplating the element itself directly (choose a tree or a star, for example, and contemplate that object), do a new phosphene everytime you think it is necessary.
– Subsequently (maybe once you are back home), do a phosphene and visualize the image you have contemplated in your mind’s eye.
– Try to remember how it looked like. Visualize this object within the phosphene.
– Do a fresh phosphene roughly every 5 minutes. Practice this exercise during 15 to 45 minutes.

Added to the practice of rhythmic thinking, this exercise will allow you to direct your energy in a direction that is at the same time inspiring and safe. If you repeat this exercise regularly, you will soon experience dreams or consciousness extensions that are related to the image you have chosen…

SITEMAP THEMES I: AURA PERCEPTION

AURA PERCEPTION

The aura, the third phase of the phosphene

You do not have to practice Phosphenism to observe colors in your field of vision. In the dark, laying on your bed with your eyes closed, relax and observe your field of vision. Generally, after half an hour a glow starts to appear followed by clouds of colors: blue, pink, yellow or purple. Dr Lefebure calls these patches of light the diffuse glow.

In order to observe this phenomenon, certain tibetan lamas remain in an entirely dark room for months, or even years… The purpose of this practice is to perceive a light that is neither physical nor imaginary: a spiritual light.

Alexandra David-Neel reports that meditating in the dark is a common practice in India and in most Buddhist countries.

Thanks the works of Doctor Lefebure, it is not necessary to spend that much time practicing in such a way if one understands well all the phases of the phosphene. The visual perception that persists in the dark when you close your eyes is called visual chaos. Nevertheless, persons who practice Phosphenism regularly develop a much denser visual chaos that they can perceive with their eyes open. It is thus possible to project your visual chaos over your perception of the material world. The two perceptions react together, bringing interesting information.
Practicing Phosphenism develops intuition. The brain, like a radar, emits a wave: this wave is reflected on the object of study and comes back carrying information. The principle of the radar lays on the localization of objects by the means of the echo. This is how bats and dolphins understand the world. It is thus not surprising to find that this principle of perception in humans. Seeing auras follows the same mechanism. It consists in projecting one’s visual chaos on an object or a person, producing an echo in the form of a phenomenon of clairvoyance.

Is it possible to take photographs of the aura?

KIRLIAN photography does not belong to the domain of initiatory research, as the KIRLIAN effect is limited to the measurement of electromagnetic force fields. The only interest of KIRLIAN photography is therapeutic.

The aura, as described by occultists, is merely the third phase of the phosphene: the diffuse glow. The elements thus perceived in one’s field of vision can be interpreted and can trigger clairvoyance phenomena. Like cards or any other medium, the diffuse glow produces intuitions or flashes if one concentrates on it.

The actual AURA can only be perceived during out of body experiences. This form of perception is nevertheless quite rare.

The various layers of the aura and the visual chaos

First layer: the brightest (dense diffuse glow), is also called the etheric body
Second layer: a grayish layer (diffuse glow) which is also called astral body
Third layer: the perception and organization of the visual chaos, also called mental body

Understanding and seeing the aura

The aura that we can perceive around a person is created by our brain. It is the third phase of the phosphene, called ‟diffuse glow” that is superimposed over the image of the subject we observe.

Preliminary exercise:

You are going to practice chasing for details in the visual chaos during 45 minutes.
In order to do this, switch the light off and place yourself comfortably in an armchair or lay on your bed; place an eye patch over your eyes.
Close your eyes and observe your field of vision.

After a while you will notice that your field of vision is not totally dark and that, on the countrary, many dots of light and colors appear within it. Concentrate on the smaller details that appear, after 10 to 15 minutes of concentration, patches of brightness appear. Keep concentrating on the details that appear within this glow. Sooner or later, you might be surprised by the appearance of a small, very precise image: a vision.

Aura perception exercise

Ask a person to stand in front of a white wall. Focus on an imaginary point located 3 to 4 cm above the top of their head. Relax and try not to move your eyes.

You will start perceiving a glow around the subject. This glow does not have the same intensity if you ask the subject to concentrate on their feet or on their head. You will observe that the aura has a maximum of intensity when you ask the subject to pray or to think very strongly that God is located just above them.

Certain persons also perceive colors around the subject; they can also see images or scenes related to that person’s life (organization of the visual chaos).

As a counter experiment, observe the aura of an object. Choose a circular object, as its aura is easier to perceive by a beginner. You will notice that of the aura of an object appears in a uniform manner and that its intensity does not change when the aura of a person varies depending on the nature of their thoughts.

SITEMAP THEMES I: ATLANTIS

ATLANTIS

ATLANTIS

For 2 000 years, the legend of Atlantis has aroused many varied speculations. According to Plato (4th century BC), this story came from the archives of the Egyptian priests of the city of Saïs. Plato was the first writer to mention Atlantis in two dialogues: the Timaeus and the Critias. He sets the tragic end of Atlantis in the years 9 500 BC.

In the Timaeus, Plato presents the tale of the fall of Atlantis as a true story. The philosopher then uses this event to develop a utopian vision of the ideal city, triggering many controversies: is his story actually based on historical facts, or does it simply serve as a background for a philosophical discussion?

Because of the lack of archaeological and geological data, the countless speculations on the myth of Atlantis are only based on the testimony of the Greek philosopher. Many possible locations have been suggested by the partisans of a real Atlantis: the Azores, Santorini, the islands of Cape Spartel, etc. None of these locations correspond to the words of the Egyptian priest quoted by Plato. Everything concurs to show that Atlantis is a myth.

Rather than waste time in a dusty debate about the physical reality of Atlantis, it seems more relevant to analyze the hypothesis of a mythical Atlantis in the light of the discoveries in cerebral physiology of a French physician and researcher: Doctor Francis LEFEBURE. His discoveries have allowed him to understand scientifically certain cerebral mechanisms related to dreams, but also to mystical visions and out of body experiences, allowing the direct apprehension of the invisible or subjective worlds of consciousness.

What is the meaning of the word myth? Are myths simple fabrications, resulting from the speculations of primitive minds? Or are they connected to a profound layer of the consciousness of humankind? Here, objective and subjective reality are confronted. All psychic or spiritual experiences fall within the subjective domain. Dr LEFEBURE wrote: ‟A person looking for objectivity will be disappointed. On the contrary, a person looking for subjectivity will, one day, realize that his or her experiences are objective”. Remember the example of Einstein, who discovered the law of complex relativity while dreaming that he was sitting on a sphere, contemplating other spheres rotating around him. This seemingly trivial dream triggered a revolutionary discovery that still influences our knowledge of the macrocosm. The most well-known subjective phenomenon is the dream. It is subjective because we are the only witnesses of the contents of our dreams, and we cannot bring any proof of what we perceive when we dream. If several persons described the same subjective phenomenon, it would become objective. If many more people lived mystical experiences, they would become an objective reality. But, the ‟world of the spirit” will always be part of domain of subjective phenomena, unconnected to matter. The subjective universe of the ‟experiences” does not belong to the objective domain of today’s science.

So, why deny the mythical? It is much more interesting to let it inspire us and to allow grace and poetry to descend into our material world. The exercises proposed by Dr LEFEBURE can actually allow us to realize this kind of experience. Practicing rhythmic thinking increases our personal energy. Then, it is up to us to decide for what purpose and in what manner we want to use this energy. Thanks to the practice of Phosphenic Mixing, we can direct our energy. It is by placing thoughts within the phosphenes that one can direct one’s dreams. This is a simple exercise that consists in visualizing an image or a concept inside a phosphene. By repeating this process a sufficient number of times, one can quickly produce dreams or consciousness extensions that are related to this image or concept.

‟The shortest route from one point to another is not the straight line, but the dream”, says Jean-Jacques Beineix.

One can also use a visual medium to improve visualization and to become even more inspired by one’s theme of meditation. If you wish to work on the theme of ‟Atlantis”, for example, you can place a fish tank near your bed. Leaving a little bit of sand and a half buried statuette at the bottom of the fish tank can, in a simple manner, conjure up impressions of Atlantis.

Consciousness extensions often produce images of deep-sea landscapes. As it is difficult for consciousness to adapt to this unfamiliar environement, the brain tends to graft familiar images to the underwater environement: buildings, for example, mixed with the sea bed, give the impression of an engulfed city. It is very probable that the ancient Greeks also perceived images of engulfed cities in their dreams, which are probably the basis of the legend of Atlantis.

Account of experiences realized by the manager of the School of Dr Lefebure:

‟Back in the 90’s, a phosphenist had offered me two terrapins and a fish tank, to enliven my office. I decided to decorate the fish tank with sand, peebles and a few statuettes.

In the evening, I would spend a little while contemplating the terrapins moving in the fish tank.

Result:
Imbued by the phosphenic rhythms, I experienced several dreams during which I was flying over the ocean. Then, I decided to try to enter the water, delving towards the bottom of the sea. Suddenly, I found myself in an unreal scenery. I was perceiving the sea bed and an engulfed city simultaneously. I was swimming between the buildings, surrounded by fishes. Most of the buildings were covered with seaweed, but I could still make out their structure.

Practicing rhythmo-phosphenism generates rhythms in the brain that allow a form of communication with the unconscious (called astral in esoterism). This universe is mainly composed of perceptions of rhythms but, in order no to upset the personality, the brain translates these perceptions into images. In the case of my underwater experience: the perception of an underwater environement (unfamiliar to me as I have never practiced scuba diving) and an urban environement, more familiar to me, as I lived in Paris.

It is interesting to note that my brain had taken the care of covering the builidings with seaweed, in order to integrate them better to the underwater environement. The possibilities of the brain are truly unbelievable.

So, what if Atlantis was but a myth stemming from the psychic experience of an Egyptian priest?

This would shed a new light on the myth of Atlantis, and would shift it from the domain of fantasy where it is confined, to the domain of subjective reality. Thus, everyone could contact a certain ‛Atlantis’, buried somewhere in their imagination.”
(Daniel Stiennon)

It is important to understand that during out of body experiences or extensions of consciousness, the brain interprets abstract sensations with images. Energy being purely abstract, the brain needs to invent concrete forms to interpret it.

These images are completely personal, and decyphering them is tricky and not very useful. It is better to consider these experiences as a kind of an inner cinema, that can be enriched by practicing Phosphenism. What really matters are the exchanges of energy that take place during the night. As they are completely abstract, it is difficult and even potentially dangerous to interpret them improperly. It is better to remain very reserved and to enjoy these magnificent dream experiences in a simple but safe manner, and to remember that their true nature is connected to planes of consciousness that are beyond us.

This nocturnal world is THE paradise lost. Growing up to adulthood severs us from it, much to the despair of the child who still remains in us. Nevertheless, parallel to our everyday lives spent overcoming the difficulties of material life, we all have the possibility to find a way back to our childhood dreams, and thus to lead a double life, at night, in the mythical world of dreams.

American comic books depict super-heros with unbelievable powers, and are a pertinent representation of the duality between day and night, material world and spiritual world. These heros usually present a duality: an absolutely average character, a little bit awkward and limited like every human being, at night turns into an alter ego with super powers, to whom nothing is impossible. This is a representation of the human condition: a difficult material world, full of frustration, opposed to a sublime spiritual world, limitless, where thoughts can create anything.

You too can become the hero you dreamt to be as child. You can enjoy fully the inner cinema of consciousness extensions and wake up transformed every morning.
With Phosphenism, you can discover the power that lays dormant within you.

SITEMAP THEMES I: ASTROLOGY

ASTROLOGY

Astrology is a set of systems of belief that are based on the observation of celestial phenomena and that have been designed to find information about earthly matters. Astrology is extremely popular but also very debatable.

Certain astrologers limit their practice to the description of the personality, while others define the main orientations of a destiny or even predict the future.

The planets rotate around the sun in the same geometrical plane called the Ecliptic plane. A 17° strip is thus defined: the zodiac. It is within this strip that the movements of planets take place. The zodiac has been divided in twelve equal parts that correspond to the astrological signs.

THE HOROSCOPE

Constructing a person’s horoscope starts with the calculation of the position of the planets in the sky and the orientation of the earth at the moment when that person is born. This calculation defines a line formed by the horizon which crosses the Ecliptic plane on two locations: the ascendant and the descendant.

Two other points are important: the zenith or highest point in the sky and its opposite, the nadir.

These four points allow the construction of twelves sectors or houses that are used as starting points for the interpretation of the horoscope. The position of the planets in the astrological signs and the houses is then analysed.

The planets form angles which are also called aspects. They have a positive, negative or neutral influence.

According to an ancient esoteric tradition, the connections between Humankind and its environement match the connections between the earth and the cosmos: ‟As above, so below”, i.e. studying the macrocosm, the position of the planets and their cycles, can bring information about the human microcosm.

The horoscope reveals the strong and the weak points of a destiny, shedding light on mecanisms that people are not necessary conscious of and that could seem impossible to escape.

Doctor Francis Lefebure, a French physician and scientist has designed a method of personal development based on the systematic use of the phosphenes: Phosphenism. The phosphenes are all the subjective sensations of light, i.e. those which are not directly provoked by light hitting the retina.

Practicing Phosphenism allows the individual to escape from fatality by working on the self. After many years of practice, a person has evolved so much that his/her horoscope seems irrelevant.

Daniel Stiennon:
‟Recently, I asked several friends who are versed in astrology to do my horoscope. Surprisingly, their work described the person I could have been if I hadn’t practiced Phosphenism and the Gyroscopic meditation in particular. Practicing the awakening of Kundalini through Gyroscopic meditation tends to soften and even, after many years, to totally erase certain defects, to such a point that I couldn’t even recognize myself in these analyses.”

Phosphenism allows individuals to access the deepest layers of their personality and to influence certain inner mecanisms in a positive way.

Doctor Lefebure invented the Gyrascope, a machine for awakening Kundalini. This device has a deep action on consciousness that can be compared to the effects of a centrifuge.

The centrifugation of a liquid separates the heavier elements, which are projected towards the outside, and the lighter elements which, as a reaction, are concentrated in the center. In a similar way, Gyroscopic meditation purifies consciousness, cruder thoughts being replaced by more elevated ones.

Phosphenism also helps developing one’s intuition and thus helps choosing the right techniques for constructing and analysing horoscopes. It is an amazing tool of self-discovery.
